At Circa 1873 Herbals & Aromatics, we create our soaps from high-grade all vegetable oils, including avocado, organic olive, organic coconut, palm, unrefined shea butter and other oils known to be moisturizing to the skin. No tallow or animal oils are used in our soaps! We scent our soaps with essential oils or occasionally with high-grade fragrance oils and use only natural clays, minerals or spices to color our soaps. We are constantly adding to our soap collection, so check back often to see the latest additions that are cured and ready for use.

Avocado, Olive, and Shea - These bars are supremely moisturizing, with a hefty proportion of high-cost avocado and olive oils. We superfat our soaps using unrefined African shea butter and offer several scents, including Tango Tango Tangerine, Lavender Lullaby and Wild Irish Roses.Our CremeRich Soaps line offers soaps made using goat’s milk, rich heavy cream, and fresh buttermilk instead of distilled water.
Our Herbal Soaps offer soaps made with certified organic herbal ingredients, including calendula, jojoba meal, lavender powder, kelp, rose petal powder, and gently exfoliating as you luxuriate in the scent of fragrant spices.
Gourmet Soaps are blended using a high proportion of apricot kernel, kukui nut, sweet almond, evening primrose, jojoba, and virgin coconut cream. Lavender-Lemon Zest is an example of one of our Gourmet Soaps.
